this months kak award goes to news24 for kak reporting and for spreading fake news.
please do read these three statements of fact:
- many news24 reporters frequently “reports” on how twitter feels about some or other ‘news’ event.
- news24 uses twitter to establish if something is news or not, base news on and reports on how “twitter feels” about what news24 claims to be news.
- twitter, currently, has thousands of FAKE puppet south african twitter accounts and twitter is currently the largest transmitter of email SPAM in south africa. – (oh, btw: Truth is an absolute defense to libel claims, because one of the elements that must be proven in a defamation suit is falsity of the statement. )
even after news24 itself reported on the hundreds of thousands of fake twitter accounts created during the gupta era, news 24 still continues to frequently report “how twitter feels” about this or “feels” about that.
news24 continues to ignore the salient truth that a large percentage of twitter users are news media and information tech staffers and twitter, specifically, is very far off center as it relates to ‘news’.
news24 continues to make, create and shape news.
